A visit to the mall has landed a Grand Falls-Windsor man in trouble with the law, on charges of driving drunk.

RCMP said an officer on patrol on Saturday evening spotted a vehicle that was stalling and moving backwards in the parking lot of the Exploits Valley Mall.

The car was in front of the mall's Newfoundland Liquor Corp. outlet.

RCMP said the man's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.

He is facing charges that include operating a motor vehicle while over the legal limit.

Meanwhile, RCMP arrested a 20-year-old driver in Grand Falls-Windsor around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday after conducting a traffic stop. The driver was charged with two counts related to drunk driving.

Both men are to appear in provincial court on April 10.
