Occupational Health and Safety officials are investigating an industrial accident that took place Saturday in the Goulds area.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a man was injured, while working on a home under construction.

They added that he was transported to hospital, where he remains.

Meanwhile, the Conception Bay South Fire Department and police were on the scene of a residential fire in Seal Cove around 5 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, flames could be seen within the house.

Residents of the home escaped without injury, but damage to the structure was extensive.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
