Torbay athlete wins gold at Special Olympics World Winter Games

Athlete Jeremy Mueller of Torbay took home two medals in snowshoeing at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea this week.
He won the gold medal in the 400-metre snowshoe finals, and also won a silver medal with his teammates in the 4x100 metre snowshoe relay.
Mueller is a resident of the Town of Torbay and a 15-year veteran of Special Olympics.
The games were an eight-day competition that brought together nearly 3,300 athletes from 112 countries.
