A hockey player from St. John's will have to wait several more weeks before he's sentenced for sex offences in Ontario.
Mark Yetman was found guilty in October 2012 on two counts of sexual assault.
The charges stem from what Yetman's lawyer called a night of "rough sex" in October 2009. A jury found that Yetman sexually assaulted two female university students after a night of drinking.
At the time, Yetman was a student at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont., and a goalie on the Brock's hockey team.
The Crown has asked for a sentence of five years. Yetman's lawyer is seeking a suspended sentence.
Yetman now plays for the Eastlink Cee Bee Stars in the Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Hockey League.
