The St. John's IceCaps rode strong defensive play to a 1-0 triumph over the Binghamton Senators on Saturday night at Mile One Centre to sweep the two-game weekend series.
Eric O'Dell scored the only goal in the game during a power play in the second period. Eddie Pasquale stopped all 24 shots in net for his fourth shutout of the season.
With the victory, the IceCaps extended their home winning streak to a season-high three games and completed a two-game sweep at Mile One for the first time this season.
The IceCaps continue their six-game home stand on Tuesday and Wednesday night, when they host Atlantic Division rivals the Worcester Sharks.
