RCMP investigate dog death in Bay Roberts

The RCMP in Bay Roberts are investigating the death of a dog that was left outside in the snow and cold temperatures.
Officers found the dog in the backyard of a home in the community today.
They also found a second neglected dog alive, but weak and in distress. That dog is being examined by a veterinarian.
The police have said they are considering laying charges under the new Animal Health and Protection Act.
It's not clear how long the dogs were left outside before they were found.
