A flight that had left England for Toronto was forced to land in central Labrador after a patient went into diabetic shock, authorities said Monday.

An Air Canada flight that had departed from London was diverted to Happy Valley-Goose Bay late Sunday morning.

A passenger — a 37-year-old man from Toronto — was taken from the airplane by ambulance in the town.

He was kept overnight for observation. There was no word on his current condition.
