More serious charges for man already on trial

A Grand Falls-Windsor man who is already on trial for allegedly stabbing a man has been charged in connection with a home invasion in the town this past weekend.
Brian Grech, 24, was charged Monday with assault with a weapon and unlawfully entering a house.
Paul Maher, 22, faces the same charges in connection with the incident.
Troy Gear, 24, has also been charged with unlawfully being in the house.
Police say two men in their 20s were assaulted during the incident, but no one was injured.
Grech is already on trial for aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing in 2011.
He's due back in court on Thursday for a bail hearing.
