Minister Jerome Kennedy headed back to the finance portfolio on Wednesday when Kathy Dunderdale announced a cabinet shuffle. The move took place ahead of what is expected to be a cost-slashing budget.
Denis Mahoney, director of the St. John's Board of Trade, and Richard Alexander, director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Employers' Council, were featured as a business panel on this week's episode of On Point with David Cochrane to offer advice to the minister and offer their take on what to do about the province's money problem.
Sterling Peyton, the president of the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce, said the region has a lot of work to do in order to prepare for the coming construction boom.
Peyton is a featured guest on this week's edition of On Point to discuss some of these hurdles and how people in the Labrador communities will cope with the changes.
