A Grand Falls-Windsor man has been denied bail in provincial court for his alleged role in a series of break-ins.

David Anthony Chow, 30, is charged with five counts of break and enter.

He is also charged with two counts of breach of probation and single counts of possession of property obtained by crime and possession of instruments suitable to commit a break and entry.

The charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred in the central Newfoundland town on New Year's Eve.

Chow's next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 9.
