ATV-pedestrian collision sends man to hospital

An ATV driven by a 14-year old boy struck and injured a man in central Newfoundland Thursday.
RCMP continue to investigate the collision in Norris Arm South.
A man is in hospital with head injuries after being struck by the vehicle on Gillingham Avenue late Thursday afternoon.
Police say the man, 49, was walking along the shoulder of the road when he was hit.
He was rushed to hospital in Grand Falls-Windsor and was later airlifted to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's.
Charges are pending under the Highway Traffic Act and All Terrain Vehicles Act.
