High winds on Monday were causing transportation problems along the coast of Labrador.

The ferry Apollo was delayed in Blanc Sablon, Que., and the freighter Astron was stormbound in Cartwright.

In Makkovik, the school was closed because of blowing snow.

Meanwhile, more stormy weather is expected in Labrador.

A snowfall warning is in effect for Happy Valley-Goose Bay and the Upper Lake Melville area, with as much as 15 centimetres expected Tuesday.
