A Happy Valley-Goose Bay man was arrested Wednesday, hours after being released from jail.
Derek Jacobish is being held on charges of theft, being unlawfully in a house, and breaching his probation order.
Earlier Wednesday he had been sentenced to 15 months in jail for a number of previous offences, but was released because of time already served.
The judge has asked the Crown and defence to try him on the new charges as soon as possible.
