A St. John's man died after collapsing at provincial court on Tuesday.
Lawyer Bob Buckingham says his longtime client played Santa at his office parties. (CBC)The man, in his early fifties, fell down outside the courtroom just before 9 am.
His lawyer believes he had a heart attack and may have died before paramedics took him to hospital.
Bob Buckingham says his long-time client, who played Santa at his law office Christmas party for several years, was a "gentleman and a gentle man."
Originally from Halifax, the deceased was a longtime resident of St. John's and is survived by two children.
