Campbellton man acquitted on sex assault charges

A central Newfoundland man who had been accused of charges that included sexual assault has been acquitted.
Campbellton resident George Sooley, 47, had also been charged with assault and intimidation.
Sooley was acquitted Friday after a trial in Gander.
Police had arrested Sooley in January after receiving a complaint from a 50-year-old woman in the community.
