A report on night flights by helicopters in the offshore oil industry recommends a return to transporting workers to and from offshore drilling facilities during night time hours.
The report posted by the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board to its website on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the C-NLOPB said the board would take time to review the recommendations before commenting, but he could not say how long the review would take.
Passenger flights at night were suspended after a recommendation from the inquiry into offshore helicopter safety.
That inquiry was held in the wake of the crash of Cougar Flight 491 on March 12, 2009.
The C-NLOPB says a moratorium on night flights remains in place.
