Provincial Airlines is confirming one of it's planes safely landed in Deer Lake last month even though it was missing a wheel.
The landing took place August 19, 2012.
No one on the twin-engine turbo-prop knew anything about the problem until the crew did a post-flight inspection in Deer Lake.
That's when they discovered one of the four rear wheels was missing from its axle.
The plane had taken off from Happy Valley-Goose Bay 90 minutes earlier. The wheel was found there.
A replacement wheel was installed and the plane flew back to Labrador.
It's not clear how many people were aboard the flight.
Corrections and Clarifications
- A previous version of this story said the plane landed September 20, 2012 but in fact it landed AUgust 19, 2012. September 21 2012
