Gas sniffing driver caught, injures RCMP officer

A stolen-truck chase in Labrador Monday morning ended with a police officer being injured by flying glass.
The RCMP in Natuashish say residents were following the stolen truck when officers took over.
According to police, the driver was spotted sniffing gas and travelling at speeds over 100 km/h.
After a 15-minute chase around the airport and dock service roads, the vehicle came to a stop while attempting a turn.
Officers rushed in and broke the windows to remove the driver.
Police say the man, 21, resisted arrest, and particles of glass flew into an officer's eye. He was taken to the local clinic for treatment.
