Justice Robert Stack says he cannot sentence Mark Baxter White until he sees the material for himself.
White, who has already pleaded guilty to making and distributing child pornography, taught English and was the librarian at Mealy Mountain Collegiate, the high school in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
White appeared by videoconference from Corner Brook during a Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador sentencing hearing on Tuesday. He has been living there since police charged him.
White, who was suspended two years ago, also pleaded guilty to luring a child.
The case involves a teenage girl from Washington D.C.
Stack told the court he needs more information before determining a sentence, including parts of a 45-minute video that White had made of a girl over a webcam.
The case has been postponed until next month.
