A western Newfoundland man was killed Sunday night when he was pinned underneath a minivan that rolled over into a ditch.
RCMP said the Deer Lake resident, 39, was in a Dodge Caravan that crashed on Route 430.
Police arrived on the scene around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday night, and found that the van was on its roof.
A second man was found outside the vehicle, but survived the crash. He was treated for injuries in hospital and later released.
"It's believed at this point that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident," RCMP said in a statement.
No one else was in the vehicle at the time.
