A 12-year-old boy was allegedly attacked and robbed in Corner Brook Saturday night.

According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, the boy was physically attacked and a quantity of money was taken from him.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m.in the area of Commercial Street and Park Street.

The boy suffered minor injuries.

According to police, there is a suspect — a 16-year-old male youth who is known to the alleged victim. However, he could not be located at the time.

The police say their investigation is continuing.
