Police are advising drivers to be careful in rainy weather after a car left the road and landed atop a guardrail just west of Grand Falls-Windsor Friday.

The accident happened shortly after noon.

RCMP said the driver was not injured, and there was no one else in the vehicle.

The car was eastbound when it hydroplaned and the driver lost control.

Police are encouraging motorists to reduce speed when it’s raining, and ensure all tires have enough tread to displace water.
