Drunk stranger removed from woman's couch

A Corner Brook woman called police early Monday after she found a stranger sleeping on the couch in her living room.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the man, 27, was intoxicated and refused to leave the woman's home.
Police said he was arrested on a charge of unlawfully being in a dwelling.
The man was being held Monday morning in the Corner Brook lockup. The RNC said he would be released on an order to appear in provincial court at a later date.
