Chopper transports Portuguese trawlerman to hospital

A crew member from a Portuguese trawler is being treated in hospital in St. John's after being airlifted by a Cormorant search and rescue helicopter early Thursday morning.
The trawler worker broke a leg on board the Franca Morte when the ship was almost 600 kilometres east of St. John's.
The search and rescue centre in Halifax said Thursday the crew member was in stable condition during the airlift.
