A house fire in Nain caused extensive interior damage on the weekend, according to police.

RCMP responded to a report of a house fire on Sandbanks Road in Nain early Saturday morning.

The fire broke out around 8:00 a.m. and caused extensive damage to the inside of the residence, police said in a written release.

The Nain fire department extinguished the fire.

All occupants of the house escaped without injury.
