A car hit a telephone pole Thursday and knocked out power in Green’s Harbour, Trinity Bay. (RCMP)
A car hit a utility pole Thursday and knocked out power to a significant portion of the town of Green’s Harbour, according to police.
Whitbourne RCMP say they responded to two motor vehicle collisions in the Green’s Harbour, Trinity Bay, area on Thursday. The second one resulted in the pole being cracked off.
Newfoundland Power and Bell Aliant employees were on the scene Thursday repairing the damages, RCMP say.
Route 80 was reduced to a single lane of traffic.
As of 7 p.m. Thursday, Newfoundland Power was reporting no outages in the area.
