Negotiations are expected to resume Monday between the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) and the union that would like to keep workers living close to the Labrador City mine.
The United Steelworkers union opposes IOC's practice of flying some workers in and out as they are needed.
Talks between the two sides broke off last week.
The union's contract expires at the end of February.
