The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is seeking public assistance in identifying the persons responsible for an armed robbery in Conception Bay South and an attempted armed robbery in Mount Pearl.
On Jan. 11, at approximately 3:30 a.m., RNC patrol officers responded to an armed robbery at Irving Service Station in Manuels, C.B.S.
Police say two female suspects entered the store armed with a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene. Both females had their faces concealed during the armed robbery.
Investigators believe these same two females who were also involved in an attempted armed robbery, with a third person, at Ches’s Restaurant on Commonwealth Avenue in Mount Pearl two hours earlier.
There were no injuries sustained during either incident.
Police have released video surveillance of the Irving armed robbery and are asking the public for assistance in identifying the two female suspects.
The RNC has positively a third person, a man they are describing as a "person of interest."
According to police, the extent and nature of his involvement is being investigated further.
