Man stabbed, beaten in central Nfld.

Police in central Newfoundland say three men are in custody after a man was stabbed early Sunday morning in Grand Falls-Windsor.
The RCMP said a 25-year-old man from Bishop's Falls was beaten and stabbed near the Beaumont Manor apartment building Sunday morning around 1:30 a.m.
"He was apparently stabbed more than once and was struck with an undisclosed weapon," said a release issued by police Sunday.
The RCMP said when they arrived on the scene, the man was bleeding heavily and in serious condition.
The man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in serious and stable condition.
Police said a man in his late teen's, a man in his 20's and a man in his 40's were detained overnight and remain in custody while exact charges are being determined.
