The Canadian Red Cross is working to provide help to the survivors of Saturday's house fire in northern Labrador.

A man in his fifties and his two grandchildren, ages two and four, died when the house in Nain they were in was destroyed by fire.

The Red Cross in Happy Valley-Goose Bay is arranging emergency supplies of food, clothing and personal care items.for five other residents of the home who either escaped or were not at home at the time.

The survivors are now staying with relatives.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
