Police in Newfoundland and Labrador are seeking a publication ban on some of the information related to a man accused of murdering his twin daughters.

Lawyers for the RCMP are scheduled to appear in a court in Gander on Wednesday to ask for an order banning publication of details that could identify undercover agents involved in the investigation of Nelson Lloyd Hart, who was charged last year with two counts of first-degree murder.

His three-year-old daughters — Krista Elizabeth Hart and Karen Tracey Hart — drowned Aug. 4, 2002.

The move was prompted by the recent publication of an article in MacLean's magazine that dealt with Hart's concerns about the undercover operation that led to his arrest.
