The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has found two shotguns that turned out to have been stolen in Corner Brook a couple of months ago.
The RNC said a police dog helped locate the firearms during a search of a wooded area near Crestview Avenue.
Police said the shotguns had been reported stolen during a January break-and-enter that occurred not far away. Someone broke into a shed on French's Road and stole weapons, ammunitions and some tools.
No one has yet been arrested, but police said the investigation is still underway.
