Stolen mini-excavator found in woods near Clarenville

A piece of machinery that was reported stolen from a business in Grand Falls-Windsor last week has been recovered.

A piece of machinery that was reported stolen from a business in Grand Falls-Windsor last week has been recovered.

RCMP said a John Deere mini-excavator was stolen from Oake's Trucking and Contracting on Whitmore Street on the night of Nov. 5.

Officers located the machine on Saturday in a wooded area outside Clarenville —​ 240 kilometres from Grand Falls-Windsor.  

Police said the excavator has been returned to the owner and the investigation into the theft is ongoing.
