St. John's Morning Show wins Atlantic Journalism Award

CBC Newfoundland and Labrador won two gold and two silver prizes at the Atlantic Journalism Awards this weekend

The St. John's Morning Show and host Anthony Germain won a gold prize in the best information program category, for the show's coverage last fall of the provincial NDP's leadership crisis.

Phillippe Grenier, who works from St. John's for Radio-Canada Acadie, won a gold prize in the videojournalist category for a show of work. 

Lindsay Bird, a VJ working from Grand Falls-Windsor, won silver in the same category. 

Producer Kathryn King and web developer Peter Gosse won a silver prize for best mulitmedia feature for their work on The Travelling Prostitute, which documented how the sex trade has been changing in the booming economy of St. John's.
