St. John's man facing 2 internet child luring charges
The RCMP have charged a man in St. John's with two counts of luring a child on the internet.
A police investigation tracked the 36-year-old through an ad he allegedly posted on the online site, Craigslist.
On Jan. 21, the CFSEU-NL Internet Child Exploitation Unit started an investigation into the ad.
The investigation revealed the ad poster was located in St. John's, and resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a home on Monday.
Following the search, police made the arrest.
The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in provincial court on March 20.
