The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has charged a St. John's man in relation to Project Spade, a worldwide child pornography bust.

The man, 68, was arrested in June by members of the RNC's Child Exploitation Unit. He was located in Toronto with the help of the RCMP National Child Exploitation investigators.

He was returned to Newfoundland, and charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.

He is one of 348 people who have been arrested across six continents for Project Spade. About 100 of those arrests were made in Canada.

The man is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 9.
