Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has tweeted a photo of a chilly-looking St. John's, taken from his perch aboard the International Space Station.

The photo, posted Wednesday, can be found on Hadfield's Twitter feed.

"St John's, NF - catching some winter sun through the cloud," the astronaut wrote.

In recent days, Hadfield has been posting a series of images of Canada.

The veteran astronaut blasted off aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft in mid-December.

He will spend six months aboard the International Space Station, taking over as commander in March.
