Police in Corner Brook said a mistaken address and a whole lot of alcohol helped put a young man in the lockup early Wednesday.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a woman living in the Humber Road area called for help after she was woken up around 3:20 a.m. when someone pounded on her front door.
Several men were outside her house, the RNC said, demanding that they be let inside.
It turns out that the men had been drinking in a bar, and had gone to the wrong house after they finished drinking.
Police said one man, 20, was taken to the lockup under the Detention of Intoxicated Persons Act, so that he could sober up.
The RNC said the woman was not injured during the incident, but did receive a fright.
