Injured snowmobiler airlifted from Gros Morne area

A Cormorant helicopter was dispatched for a medevac of an injured snowmobiler Thursday night.

No word on nature of injuries

An injured snowmobiler was airlifted just outside Gros Morne National Park Thursday night.

The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax got a call for help at around 11 p.m.

A Cormorant helicopter from Gander was dispatched to the area for the medevac.

The snowmobiler was transferred to hospital in Corner Brook just before 4 a.m. for medical attention.

There was no immediate word Friday on the extent of the snowmobiler's injuries.
