A Corner Brook man clearing snow from his driveway was hit by a car Tuesday evening.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the man was using a snowblower to clear his driveway on Sunnyslope Drive when he was hit by the car around 6:45 p.m.

The man, who told police he didn't appear to be injured, filed a report with police just before midnight Tuesday.

Const. Shawna Park, media relations officer for the Corner Brook RNC, told CBC on Wednesday morning that road conditions appeared to have been a factor.

"The driver was unable to stop and slid into the pedestrian," said Park.

Police are investigating the matter to determine if any charges should be laid.
