Two men have been charged with assaulting or threatening sheriff's officers during two incidents at the provincial court in St. John's.
Police say they charged a man, 23, after he tried to disarm an officer early Tuesday afternoon. He was kept in custody for a court appearance.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said that a short time later another man was charged with uttering threats against a sheriff's officer.
The man, 29, was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
