Second man pleads guilty to Bell Island rampage
A Bell Island man has pleaded guilty to some of the charges connected with a frightening rampage of destruction in Bell Island this past August.
The Crown has withdrawn some of the other charges.
Christian Jenkins, 20, entered the guilty pleas in provincial court in St. John's.
Jenkins, along with Wayne Boone, 19, had 21 charges laid against them in connection with a crime spree that happened on Bell Island on the afternoon of Aug. 30. At least half a dozen people were assaulted. Several homes, vehicles, and a school were damaged.
Boone, also from Bell Island, pleaded guilty to his role in the rampage Oct. 23.
Jenkins and Boone will be sentenced in December.
Both men have previous criminal records.
