The latest incidence of vandalism at a Scouts Canada camp in cabin country outside St. John's will mean a delay in some activities.

Camp Morristown, just outside the Foxtrap area of Conception Bay South, was struck last week for the third time in as many years.

Someone smashed out windows and damaged locks at the camp.

Scouts Canada official Steve Kent said it will cost about $2,000 to repair the damages.

Kent said the latest incidence of vandalism involved less damage than in the past.

Last August, furniture was destroyed, windows were smashed and a hole was burned in the floor.

Kent said while insurance is carried on the camp, it would make more sense to pay for the repairs upfront.

He said video cameras may soon be installed at the camp.
