The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating an incident in the west end of St. John's on Tuesday night, where a man allegedly attacked another man with a pair of scissors.

Police said they received a report around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday of a possible assault outside a home on Frecker Drive.

As a result, a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon.

The victim received non-life threatening injuries, and did not require hospital treatment.

The accused was detained at the lockup overnight and is scheduled to make a court appearance Wednesday morning.
