Two members of Newfoundland and Labrador's Liberal caucus will be carrying the party colours in the next provincial election.
The Liberal Party closed nominations in three districts, with sitting MHAs acclaimed in two of them.
Sam Slade, who won a byelection last fall in Carbonear-Harbour Grace, will be the party's candidate there in the next general election.
St. Barbe MHA Jim Bennett will be seeking a second term in the next election.
Meanwhile, two candidates announced their intentions for Cartwright-L'Anse au Clair in southern Labrador. Lisa Dempster, who won a byelection in the district in June 2013, is being challenged by former MHA and former party president Danny Dumaresque, who declared his intentions last week.
Nomination meetings in Cartwright-L'Anse au Clair will be held next Thursday.
