A 22-year-old man in St. John's was stopped by police for drunk driving — not once, but twice early on Friday morning.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the man was stopped on Prince Philip Drive at 1:30 a.m. and charged with impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer.
He was released to appear in court at a later date.
Two hours later, the man was stopped on Topsail Road and charged again with impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer.
This time, he was taken to the lockup where he spent the rest of the night, awaiting a court appearance Friday morning.
