Thieves have been taking an interest in recreation equipment in the Mount Pearl area as of late.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary are looking for the public's assistance regarding the theft of four dirt bikes from a Mount Pearl business last weekend. 

Police said sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning, the bikes were taken from the Fun 'n' Fast warehouse on Topsail Road.

An orange and black KTM 450 was stolen, as well as three green and white Kawasaki KLX dirt bikes.

Meanwhile, police arrested two men on Thursday afternoon in the area of Pearltown Road after they were found with a recently stolen boat. 

The investigation revealed the boat had been reported stolen earlier that morning during a break and enter at a recreational retail business in Mount. Pearl.

One of the men was charged with break, entry and theft. He was released to appear in court at a later date. 

The second man was charged with break, entry and theft, as well as breach of court orders. He was held for court.
