A man with over $21,000 in traffic fines was pulled over by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary on Friday night.

Shortly before midnight, police stopped the driver, 39, near the Portugal Cove exit.

RNC said the man was given tickets for multiple offences, including driving while suspended, having no registration or valid insurance and false stickers.

The vehicle was impounded and the man was held overnight for a court appearance Saturday morning.
