RNC nab downtown St. John's vandal
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested a man Friday night in downtown St. John's after responding to a call of mischief.
Police responded to a call shortly after 7 p.m. involving the man spray painting the windows of the Sir Humphrey Gilbert Building on Duckworth Street.
The 37-year-old man was charged with mischief and breach of undertaking.
Meanwhile, the RNC were called to Mount Pearl early Saturday to respond to a call about a man drunk in public.
When police arrived at the scene, the man was arrested and charged for possession of a prohibited weapon, among other things.
The 23-year-old was also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, breach of probation and breach of undertaking.
Both men were held in the lockup for a court appearance Saturday morning.
