The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested two men in connection with two shootings in St. John's in 2013.

The arrests are related to what police call targeted incidents, one on Boyle Street in September and the second on Williams Heights in November.

Police said the incidents are related, but won't release further information.

Both men, 31 and 35, are charged with attempted murder and assault with a weapon.

According to the RNC, both men were picked up in a vehicle near Howley Estates Friday morning.

The two are set to make a court appearance Saturday.
